ECONOMIC TOURS BY BUS
South Beach Shuttle |Up Miami Beach | Downtown Miami
Miami's public bus system has been criticized and indeed in the far suburbs and residential districts it leaves much to be desired. Nevertheless, on Miami Beach, the services are regular and extensive. Regrettably it is not easy to get your hands on local bus timetables or maps, unless you are willing to find the tourist information desk at Miami International Airport when you arrive. You can also access the Miami-Dade Metrobus system online. It is pretty easy to get around on this extensive site.
If you plan on travelling a lot by local public transportation you may find it easier and more economic to purchase a US$ 5.00 one-day or a US$ 26.00 seven-day transit pass (called EASY Ticket).
Obviously instructions here will depend on where you are staying. For convenience I have based all trips departing from the area of Lincoln Road and Washington Avenue on Miami Beach.
